Probably my favorite place in Singapore, Gardens by the Bay is a futuristic man-made garden that’s located at the heart of Singapore’s downtown. It’s the perfect place to explore or wind down after a long day at work. The garden is home to 1.5 million different types of plants from every continent except Antarctica which is truly a sight to behold.

Gardens by the Bay caters to every type of visitor with different budgets. If you are more of a budgeted traveler, you can still explore every nook and cranny of the garden as the majority of it is free. For travelers who don’t mind spending a few dollars, you can visit their famous ticketed attraction – the Cloud Forest, Floral Fantasy, or the Flower Dome! The tickets range from $12 to $32 depending on the packages and your age.

Highlight of Garden’s by the bay

Light Show

Don’t miss the Garden Rhapsody in the Supertree Grove held at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm daily. Garden Rhapsody is Gardens by the Bay’s signature light show that both locals and tourists alike love. For 15 minutes, the lights on the Supertrees dance along to the music, making a magical experience. Sit on the floor or even bring your mat to lie down and allow yourself to be mesmerised by the light show.

The park is free throughout the year unless there are events such as Christmas Wonderland that are held during December. Visitors who purchase tickets for Christmas Wonderland will be able to go into the Supertree Grove and the Meadows to experience a jolly atmosphere all around. There are food stalls, game stalls, performances, lighting structures, and even fake snow! Other than Christmas Wonderland, there are also free events such as River Hongpao during Chinese New Year which visitors can attend.

Finding the Supertrees

Just a few minutes walk from the infamous hotel that’s shaped like a boat – Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay is an attraction that you would not want to miss! You can either alight from the Gardens by the Bay MRT or the Bayfront MRT to get to the attraction. Nearest MRT : Gardens by the bay MRT
